On June 1, 2024, my literary friend Bradley Winterton passed away at the age of 86 at his home in Saigon.
Before his passing, I had been working on his book Moments of Vision: Views and Reviews from East Asia. In fact, just three days before his death, he wrote to me regarding its progress. I’m sorry, Bradley, that you didn’t get to see your book released.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been working feverishly, and here it is: available as a free eBook on the Plum Rain Press website. Plum Rain Press, founded by Eryk Michael Smith and myself, is a successor to Camphor (I’ll explain Camphor’s problems in the future).
And apologies for the uncompleted state of the Plum Rain Website website; I know it isn’t quite yet ready for prime time, but we’re in a hurry to release Bradley’s book. This ebook – which is FREE to download – is a collection of his writings and snippets of memoir. There are travel pieces, his favorite book reviews, and more. I wish he had revealed more about himself but he was a beautiful writer and his book is a rewarding read.
The ebook is in ePUB format, which works on a wide range of devices. For Kindle users, you can download the file to a computer and then transfer it to your Kindle reader. I find Amazon’s “Send to Kindle” page fast and easy. https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle
Best wishes,
John Ross
